About the event
The Feast of Pentecost marks the powerful moment when the Holy Spirit descended upon the apostles, as described in Acts 2. Celebrated 50 days after Easter, Pentecost is often called the “birthday of the Church” because it marks the beginning of the apostles’ public ministry and the spread of the Gospel to the world.
Originally a Jewish festival celebrating the harvest and the giving of the Law at Mount Sinai, Pentecost was transformed by God into a day of spiritual harvest. On this day, the Holy Spirit empowered believers with boldness, diverse tongues, and divine unity, drawing people from every nation into the family of God.
